LUX Le Morne - Five-star hotel nestled in a tropical garden

LUX Le Morne is located on the south-west coast of Mauritius where, in the evenings, guests can sit on the beach and enjoy the sunset over the Indian Ocean. The hotel is located 60 km from the airport and 40 km south of the capital Port Louis. Lovely 600 meter long beach with pleasantly warm sea water - why not try snorkeling! The hotel has 5 swimming pools, two of which are heated. One of the pools has a nice pool bar.

To do

The hotel has a Spa with a wide range of treatments. Yoga, tennis, windsurfing, table tennis, various water sports such as water skiing, pedal boats, water aerobics and more. In the evenings, the hotel organizes entertainment such as shows and performances by Mauritian artists.

To eat

LUX Le Morne has 3 restaurants, including a Thai restaurant. The beach restaurant serves a wide Mediterranean menu. Furthermore, the hotel has 3 bars, one by the pool and one by the beach. Of course, like all LUX hotels, the hotel has a coffee bar.

The island is small, about 65% the size of Gotland. Most people speak and understand English, but French works even better. They have a democratic government and the country is one of Africa's richest. The island is surrounded by a coral reef that provides calm swimming waters around almost the entire island. Mauritius is a lush green island with large sugar fields everywhere. Sugar and tourism are their main industries. People are generally friendly and pleasant. The main religion is Hinduism. This is followed by about 25% Christians and about 15% Muslims. The climate is tropical and the temperature is usually 25-30 degrees during the day.
